Beauty advent calendars have become a huge hit over the last few years to the point that now almost everyone is doing them. Why should you care? Well two reasons, they make a great pre Christmas gift to someone (or yourself) and you get a tone of beauty products at a much reduced price than if you bought them separately. Last year I had the Clarins one and although it was only for 12 days rather than the traditional 24, there wasn’t one product I wasn’t pleased with. Some were full size and some were really handy travel sizes which I packed in my travel bag. I have rounded up the best for you below, I know I would be thrilled to receive any of them. One word of caution though if you do want one don’t wait to buy because they sell out quickly, I have already had to remove a couple from this roundup!
Best Beauty Advent Calendars
Starting with the Clarins one which is again 12 days. It includes a couple of full size products, including their SOS primer and lots of their most popular products, like the Beauty Flash Balm and eye makeup remover. It costs £60 but is worth over £126.
The Clinique calendar is a 24 day one and includes a mixture of skincare and makeup. It is £76 and includes two full size products and plenty of other favourites like Moisture Surge and their Pep Start Eye Cream.
I love Decleor products and their calendar includes plenty of my favourite products from the Hydra Floral and Aroma collections as well as 3 full size products. It’s £80 but worth £258.
If you are a lover of the Espa products then this is the one for you. Including their oils, skin care and a candle. A fair bit more expensive than some of the others at £130 but worth it if you love their products.
The Charlotte Tilbury beauty advent calendar is another 12 day one and includes some of her most loved products, such as her best selling Pillow Talk Lipstick and mini versions of her Magic Cream and Super Model Body. Not a huge saving on the retail price, it is £150 with a value of £196, but probably one of the most desirable for beauty lovers.
The Selfridges Glam Sparkle advent calendar is full of those cool beauty brands, including Kiehls and Urban Decay, as well as some premium brands like Lancome and YSL. This one is £130.
L’Occitane is another of my favourite brands. This calendar is colourful and fun as well as being packed with some of my favourite products for hair, skin and body. It is £89 and worth £112.
Probably one of the most glamorous beauty advent calendars has to the Net-A-Porter one. Containing makeup, hair and skin care from the likes of Hourglass, Marc Jacobs and Illamasqua it is seriously stylish. It is £150 and is perfected for discovering new brands.
One of the most expensive in this roundup, the Space NK calendar is £250 but contains a whopping £600 worth of products! With products from Beauty Editors secret favourites like Sunday Riley, Drunk Elephant and Oribe as well as better known brands like Nars and Eve Lom, this is a luxurious and indulgent treat.
This beautiful rose gold calendar from GlossyBox is filled with 25 favourite beauty products and features some of the UK’s most loved brands including NARS Cosmetics, Real Techniques and the makeup sensation, HUDA Beauty. It costs £99 but is worth over £300.
So that’s it, my roundup of the best beauty advent calendars. Will you be treating someone (or definitely yourself, you deserve it) to one? I can’t decide which one I want the most, tricky decision…
