As the weather here in the UK continues to swelter – something we are so unused to, but of course as Brits talk about constantly, almost more than the football – it’s becoming hard to find things to wear. We may have “holiday clothes,” those items we only wear for 2 weeks of the year outside the UK, but unused as we are to long stretches of warm weather, it has never seemed worthwhile having a High Summer wardrobe. Over the last few years that seems to be changing with longer spells and extremes of heat and colder, snowier winters. So I thought you might be grateful for a mini Capsule Wardrobe for a heatwave.
A Mini Capsule Wardrobe for a Heatwave
I’ve chosen pieces in fabrics that work well in the heat, like lightweight silk trousers, a cotton dress and linen pieces. The styles that are relaxed and therefore cooler to wear. For accessories I’ve chosen one white bag, a statement necklace to elevate a simple neckline and two pairs of comfortable slip on shoes. Many of the items are also in the sales, so you can grab a bargain too. I’ve keep colours simple with white and navy neutrals and some other shades of blue.
