I’ve created 3 Autumn transitional outfits for that tricky time of year where it isn’t really cold enough for a Winter coat but Summer pieces aren’t warm enough. The key is to extend the wear of some of your cooler Summer pieces by adding layers, long sleeves, a thicker fabric or a pair of ankle boots. Midi dresses and skirts are a great option teamed with ankle boots and a lightweight coat or jacket will keep the early morning chill off. below are 3 Autumn transitional outfits at three budgets.
Autumn Transitional Outfits – Budget
For the budget look I have chosen a midi shirt dress – the season’s must have style and length – and added a faux suede biker jacket. Wear with trainers now and then add knee high boots later. As it gets colder layer a roll neck knit underneath and swap the Biker jacket for a cosy fur gilet.
Autumn Transitional Outfits – Mid Range
For the mid range look I’ve chosen a navy and red combination. You can’t go wrong with this colour combination or outfit. Navy and stripes mixed with red is a classic combination that won’t date. I’ve updated it for this season with a pair of side stripe trousers (great for elongating the leg) and a kitten heeled boot. Later add a cosy knit and a scarf with a thicker coat.
Autumn Transitional Outfits – Designer
Finally for the designer option, this is the skirt to snap up for the season. It ticks all the boxes; animal print, asymmetric and the must have designer all over Instagram, Ganni. Add a knit with fringe sleeve detailing and brown croc ankle boots and bag. Later add warm tights, knee high boots and a coat. This skirt will take you into next Spring too.
