3 Days of Christmas – What to Wear to Suit Your Colouring

This week as we still have a few left before Christmas I thought I would give you some ideas of what to wear over the 3 main days of Christmas. I’ve done 3 outfits for each colour dominant (if you don’t know yours you can order my¬†personalised colour dossier) and picked a seasonal colour theme for each. I’ve assumed a smart casual drinks party for Christmas Eve, a dressy Christmas day (if you are at home remember the apron to protect your dress!) and a relaxed boxing day in a cosy knit.

So if you have Light colouring here’s your 3 days of Christmas outfits:

Just because you have light colouring doesn’t mean to say you can’t wear red. Mix it with neutrals of Biscuit and Cement and if you want to add some sparkle choose gold or silver.

Yes you can wear black but make it more festive by mixing with a gorgeous deep wine Рmatch it to your Christmas tipple!

3 days of Christmas for Cool colouring:

As a Cool you look good in all blues, but contrast works well on you too. So choose a blouse that shows some skin, something with a bit of shimmer like this dress or add a lighter blue with deep Navy. Just add silver earrings.

The party season was made for your colouring! Choose Gold, Bronze and rich Russet to bring your outfits to life. (Ask Santa for a little gold under the tree too!)

You can choose any of the bright colours of the party season but I have picked a stunning Cobalt Blue. Add some contrast at the neck with a necklace of mixed light and bright beads and “Shine bright like a diamond”

Soft or Muted colouring doesn’t have to be boring! Choose purple and Soft Violet blended into a beautiful Christmas look.

I’m a warm but sadly I don’t like the suggestions for my colouring.

Hi Helena, Thank you for your comment. Other colour options for warm colouring are reds and purple that are more plentiful at this time of year, or you could choose warm greens and teals as an alternative.
