Autumn Colours to Add to your Capsule Wardrobe

I love the start of a new season and especially Autumn because it’s time for cosy cashmere, boots and coats. Having just arrived back from holiday the mornings in the UK have a definite autumnal feel and I’m looking forward to adding some new pieces to my own capsule wardrobe. I’ve trawled through the new pieces from some of my favourite sites and several colours have stood out.

Tan can be used by those with Warm colouring as a neutral. It looks great mixed with other browns, red and peachy pinks. If you can’t put it close to your face wear it as accessories, but snap up these boots fast as some sizes have already sold out!

Teal is a universal colour that we can all wear and it looks so sophisticated. It’s fabulous mixed with other sea greens and blues or be dramatic and wear it with red.

Regal Purple makes a comeback for the winter season. If your colouring is Cool add lilacs and hot pinks. For everyone else mix it with Charcoal, Taupe or Pewter.

One of my favourites, Berry will definitely be appearing in my wardrobe this season. I will be wearing it mixed with Chocolate Brown, Navy and Charcoal Grey.

Green has a split personality this season because it comes in several shades from Spearmint – great for Light colouring – through to Emerald for Deep and Clear colouring and Khaki for warm skin tones.

There will be plenty more to come about colours for the season and how to wear them, but if in the meantime you would like to find out which colours suit you (Click here to receive your free download of my wearing colour booklet if you aren’t sure) or choose the Colour Dossier service for a personalised analysis to find out your best colours and how to wear them.
