What’s Hot Now – Blush

If you have been watching new Autumn stock coming in you have probably noticed there is a profusion of pink. Pink has been having it’s moment for the last two seasons – we’ve seen bright and sugary pinks but this season it’s more delicate and comes in the form of blush or ballet pink. It’s the quieter sister of prior season pinks and is so easy to wear because it’s elegant and feminine. And it works brilliantly with winter neutrals of navy, chocolate and black.

Here are some of the best pieces already in store:

I love this color, but I am a “Clear/Bright” skin tone and blush seems to just wash me out and make me look “dead”! Do you have any tips for using this color with my skin tone?

Hi Rebecca, As a clear or bright you should wear bright colours or contrast to look your best. So I’d suggest you wear your blush either with a brighter pink or a dark contrast. It’s been shown on the catwalks with black and chocolate but you could wear it with navy too. If possible wear the darker or brighter colour close to the face – for example if you go for a blush top wear a dark necklace or jacket.
Thanks for the question I hope you find something to wear with your blush – It’s so pretty and feminine isn’t it?
