How to Wear – Latest Trends for Real Women

There are several new pieces to add to your wardrobe this season and as this blog is for real women who may not have a model like figure or be 25 (that’s me) I’ve put together some looks that I think are wearable. I’ve selected all the example and outfit pieces from the brilliant collection at Atterley Roadicon. If you are an accessories lover like me check out their scarves and jewelleryicon, one of the best ranges online.

Styling Tips…

For the first outfit below, I’ve teamed the jumpsuit with a pair of block heels, a statement necklace and bright clutch. You could make it more casual by swapping the heels for a pair of skater shoes.

The Folk style jacket inspired by Isabelle Marant (bottom picture above) has been copied everywhere on the High Street. So if you can’t afford (or find) an original there are some wonderful jackets at more purse friendly prices. Look at Monsoon too. Isabelle Marant teams hers with jeans or tapered trousers and a feminine blouse often with cut-work details or frills. So I’ve done something similar with the second outfit.

The humble sweatshirt has had a bit of a moment in the spotlight this season. Seen now worn with a pencil skirt in clashing patterns or worn with, as I’ve shown here, with Boyfriend jeans. What’s new are the high heels and if you have long legs roll the hem of the jeans.

The flat sandals are the perfect partner to a denim dress – another piece making a comeback – but look equally good with a maxi dress, T-shirt style dress or jeans.

Finally the Bomber Jacket. Not an easy item to wear because if they are too full they add pounds. I suggest you wear it open with a fitted top and a pencil skirt or slim leg trousers, I’ve used one colour to elongate the body, and again keep the heels high.
