Are you a dress lover? I know some women feel like a dress is for “dress-ing up” but it doesn’t have to be. They can be really versatile. Yes there are dresses that you wouldn’t wear other than to a formal event or at the other end of the scale on the beach. But why not buy a dress, that with a little bit of wardrobe magic, works for more than just one event?
Here are 3 dresses that have a nod to seasonal trends but can be styled in different ways – I’ve shown three for each dress.
The White Dress
The first look just needs a tan and a holiday location for laid back sightseeing and lunching. White looks great with brights, I’ve used red but you could add any of the bright seasonal colours; cobalt, yellow, emerald, turquoise… Finally monochrome never dates so here’s a smarter daytime look for a dressier occasion.
The Maxi Dress
Maxi dresses never date. But you may feel that the only time you wear one is on a very hot day here in the UK or on holiday. This one though works smart and casual, day and evening all it needs to take it from the beach to the dance floor are the right accessories.
The Bright Print
Picking up on the seasonal trend of brights and flouro prints, this dress can easily be “toned” down with neutrals. Dress it up with cream and gold for a wedding or the races, wear it to lunch with a knit and a pair of block heeled sandals or mix it with chocolate brown for a smart but not too formal event.
So now the question is which one do I need first?
