With the weather starting to become milder it’s still not quite warm enough to brave the mornings without a jacket. But you can definitely go for a lighter layer and a lighter or brighter colour. Whether it’s for work or casual there are some gorgeous jackets available. Most of them will also do double duty dressed up or down giving you maximum cost per wear in your wardrobe. So invest in a great Spring jacket now to take you right through to cooler Autumn weather.
Here are a few of the options:
Shown here – a bright paisley from French Connection which can be dressed up for work or a smarter event but would look just as good with a pair of casual jeans or chinos for the weekend.
The tweed Chanel style jacket here from Gerry Weber never dates and this one would be gorgeous for a spring wedding or shown below with white linen.
The biker also never dates, what’s new this season is pastel colours, like this from Ted Baker – not the most practical but they look so luxurious.
A cardigan style jacket like this from Kaliko works with a skirt or trousers for dress down Friday as well as weekend duty.
New this season is the bomber here in silk from jigsaw – not the easiest style to wear but I’ve shown it below with a pair of boyfriend jeans – it’s perfect partner.
Finally a gorgeous coral piped jacket from Gerard Darel which would also look great dressed up or down.
Here are 3 outfit options, showing casual, smart casual and more formal looks.
