My Spring Wishlist Capsule Wardrobe

The last few weeks have been really busy creating spring capsule wardrobes for clients. One of the up (or down) sides of this process is finding things that would fit so well into your own wardrobe. So I’ve been collecting images of pieces I would like for my own spring capsule wardrobe. I’ve decided that my colour palette would be neutrals of biscuit and soft white (to which I can add existing pieces of chocolate brown and navy) and spring accent colours of orange and mint.

The bottoms from the capsule are all plain to get maximum wear with all of the tops and knits.

The pieces include:

A gorgeous 50s style dress from Boden which is really elegant and feminine – a dress to wear on the Italian Riviera!

A stunning silk print top from Hobbs (also comes in a dress if you have an occasion to dress for) with splashes of orange and pink. Perfect for smartening up the trousers for evening.

The must have jeans for women over a certain age – high waisted and flattering to those without a washboard stomach – from Donna Ida.

Scarves – of course – including a bargain animal print from Marks and Spencer.

A new bag love find. Both bags from Village England and as they say on their website “a collection of bags that are infinitely desirable, uncompromising on quality yet affordable and designed for real life.” The two I’ve picked are the Cranleigh in orange and the Much Marcle in a pale neutral and both are very firmly on my wish list –  and as a horsey owning family I just love the equestrian styling!

Easy to wear high neutral wedges that go with everything, a pair of LK Bennett two tone flats that I have been lusting over since I first spied them on their website and a really practical but still stylish pair of flat woven sandals. (I had a similar pair several years ago from Russell & Bromley and wore them to death – in fact until they became a bit of an embarrassment but they were so comfortable and I’ve missed them every summer since they finally died)
