If like me you are torn between wanting to get into all the gorgeous new autumn clothes arriving in store and not wanting the summer to end the perfect answer is… shoes. Let’s face it for most of us shoes are always the answer!
This week has been busy creating autumn capsule wardrobes for several clients which means I have been both trawling online stores and going out to see things “in the flesh”. And we are spoilt for choice in the shoe department this season. There is everything from sky scraper high to new shape flats. And so much colour, in particular red, green, purple and teal.
Autumn shoe trends to look out for are the block heel – so much more comfortable to wear – animal prints, toe caps, brogues, loafers and the pointed flat.
Shoe prices seem to be going in the same direction as handbags, ever increasing, so for high fashion, one season pairs I’d recommend some of the less expensive brands like Dune or John Lewis own brand. Remember though that a fabulous pair of shoes can make an outfit, so below are just a few pairs that have caught my eye from LK Bennett and Hobbs – and I haven’t even mentioned boots yet but I will save those for a later post.
Have you bought any new season shoes yet? Don’t lave it too long as some of these styles have already sold out in some sizes.
