An occasional post about things I’ve found over the weekend whilst surfing that I feel it is my duty to report on…
Firstly I came across a new site – new to me that is – called Boticca, an online boutique for unique jewelry and fashion accessories by top emerging designers from around the world. The marketplace is curated and edited by a team of fashion experts, designers, stylists, editors, bloggers and collectors, who illustrate the culture, stories and inspiration behind the collections on the site. What I love about the site is the opportunity to buy from small designers that you wouldn’t otherwise have heard of which means you are unlikely to see your friends wearing the same thing (unless you let them in on the secret too!)
As you know by now I am a great scarf lover and here are just 2 I fell in love with by Ananda Design a New York City based designer:
Also on the site I found the perfect work handbag. Not only is it good looking, big enough for everything you need for a day in the office but it also has a removable clutch for evenings which you can use with or without it’s chain – genius!
There are also some gorgeous pieces of jewellery too – have a browse and see what you think.
My next find is the prettiest pair of sandals by Red Valentino – currently in the my-wardrobe sale and only left in size 4, 5 and 8 so hurry if that’s your size – sadly not mine!
However, if you do decide to snag a pair of those pretty sandals I have the perfect varnish for your toes. Spotted several weeks ago reviewed on a US site I have been waiting impatiently for its UK release. Of course I can only be talking about one brand, my favourite nail polish brand by a mile… Chanel.
So let me introduce you to Taboo. Needless to say my own pot is winging it’s way to me and I can’t wait to try it out – will let you know.
Finally as I sit here I’m admiring my golden skin. No I didn’t dash off for a weekend in the sun – only as far as Boots for a tube of St Tropez Self Tan Dark Mousse. It sounds a little scary being dark but here’s the blurb “by containing hydrating aloe vera gel combined with new Vegetan Premium, a patented active DHA that promotes a rich natural colour and offers protective antioxidant benefits, the Self Tan Dark Mousse delivers the quickest and deepest bronze yet”. I followed the instructions (and also bought the mitt they recommend you use) and not only do I have golden streak free skin it’s also incredibly soft.
No more sun damage for me, as soon as that sun shows it face I will be baring my “healthily” acquired tanned legs.
By the way it’s £21.99 at Boots at the moment that’s an £11 saving!
So that’s it for the Monday roundup – anything you can’t live without?
