When is it time to retire your shorts?

A question for you… what are your thoughts on when you should stop wearing shorts? Does age matter, or can you continue to wear them if you have the figure for them regardless of age?

My view is that the figure on the scales is more important than the one on your birthday card. If you’ve got great legs why not? Personally my shorts days are over I think, unless I lose some of the weight that has gone on over the last few years. I would love to be able to wear them again though and so couldn’t resist a ‘how to wear’ post with these silk blend shorts.

My top tips would be smooth golden legs (fake or real but not tangoed) keep yours shoes on the medium to low side and if you are showing a lot of leg don’t do cleavage as well – otherwise you risk looking like a member of Towie! If you are over 40 go for a smart stylish pair like these.

I have the most ugly knees in the world – they have been laughed at by members of the medical profession so sadly I cannot deny it. However, despite this I love shorts.. I think once past our 20s or mid 30s, short shorts or ‘Kylies’ should not be worn but [slightly?] longer ones are great,. Just not clingy ones please!
