Spring is here in the UK this week so it’s time to dig out a few Summer favourites. One of my capsule Wardrobe Spring essentials are Capri Pants. Capri pants were introduced by fashion designer Sonja de Lennart in 1948. Their name is derived from the Italian isle of Capri, where they rose to popularity in the late 1950s and early ’60s. The American actress Grace Kelly was among the first movie stars who wore capris on the island. They have so much romance about them, you can almost imagine yourself sitting on a hotel terrace on Capri with a cool glass of wine. Far better than a Monday morning commute!
Below I have done the hard work for you by finding a whole selection of Capri Pants. Capri Pants look great with a wedge, block heel sandal or how Audrey used to wear them; with a Ballet Flat.
My pick of the best Capri Pants
Choose a neutral and add a pretty floral top.
Pick a colour and wear with white, or go all out with a print and pick one of the print colours for your top.
And here is how I wore mine last Summer.
I’m wearing these – also available in other colours
