If you have been a reader for a while you will know that I am a big fan of the jersey dress. They can be such a versatile item in your wardrobe, as you can dress them up with heels and a jacket or down with more casual accessories for the weekend and holidays. Finding the perfect dress is not as easy as it might seem though because not all jersey dresses are made equal. You want a fabric that is weighty enough to hang nicely and not cling and a little bit of elastane is a bonus too.
You may remember Liz’s maxi dress that I featured in the how to wear a maxi dress post, the fabric was perfect and it wore and washed beautifully and I know that several of you also bought the dress and loved it too. So I jumped at the chance of choosing one of Pure Collection’s jersey dresses for this month’s collaboration.
As soon as I saw this dress with its gorgeous vibrant print I knew it would go with so many items in my wardrobe. Worn as I have done here, it is perfect for smarter days or if you work in an office. The denim blue in it goes brilliantly with my sale Jimmy Choos, making them an even better cost per wear.
I will be packing it for my holiday as well – as it will need virtually no ironing – and wearing it with a more casual pair of espadrilles.
The geometric detail is mirrored in the kimono style sleeves, which make it more unusual. I’ve tied the belt at the front, it’s long enough to wrap all the way around and back again, but it can be tied at the back as well. An added bonus, the print does a great concealment job for those, like me, who need a little help!
If the print isn’t for you but you love the shape, it also comes in navy – and you know I think you can never have too much navy in your capsule wardrobe to add your favourite accent colours to.
