As the sales are now becoming a bit sparse it is getting harder to find sizes. However, there are 4 items that Liz and I have bought that are still available in more than one size so we thought we would share them with you and how we are styling them.
First of all what has become the “Looking Stylish jumpsuit”. It is such a flattering style and I know that all of you that have bought it have been thrilled with it as well. Liz bought the jumpsuit to add to her holiday capsule wardrobe. It looks great worn alone like this but would also work under a blazer or jacket for a wedding, or more casually with a denim jacket in white or classic blue.
My first item is a dress. I do have problems finding dresses, because if they fit my bust they are often too big elsewhere, so the style that works best for me is a shift. This dress really isn’t done justice on the website. I ordered it as an equivalent to a Little Black Dress and I love it. It is smart enough for the office or dinner and is made in a lovely crepe that has minimal creasing. I paired it simply with a pearl necklace and earrings and classic courts with a twist (my second sale pick)
Liz’s second item was a pair of the 7/8ths Richmond trousers. I can’t tell you how many wardrobes we have put these and the full length Richmond in. They come in such a great range of colours, have some stretch for comfort, wash brilliantly and hardly need ironing. Having wanted these from when they first arrived online Liz snapped them up now they are a £29 bargain. The print includes navy and a splash of white so both would be good alternatives for a top.
My second pick is a pair of court shoes. I struggle with heels these days (hence my ever growing collection of flats!) But I wanted a pair for a recent event and I stumbled across these – actually I first ordered them in a kitten heel style from Selfridges but they sent me the wrong size 🙁 so after a hunt I found this block heel version and actually I prefer them. I really thought they would be going back because they were too high. However, they are honestly one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I have ever owned. On their first wear I wore them all day with no problems. And at half their original price it wasn’t quite such a sharp intake of breath!
They work beautifully with the navy dress and these tailored crop trousers, but I think because of the denim effect they would look great with more casual trousers too.
It’s worth checking out some of your favourite premium brands and designers because many of the sales have now reached 70% discounts so you could pick up a designer piece for the price of a high street item. Check out Net-A-Porter, Matches, My Theresa and Very Exclusive as well as LK Bennett for some brilliant clothing and shoe bargains.
