My Spring Capsule Wardrobe – Existing Pieces and How I’ve Updated it This Season

Now that we are finally seeing some Spring weather I am looking forward to wearing my Spring capsule wardrobe. Since the new season stock started to arrive in February I have been keeping my eye out for what I can add to pieces I have from previous seasons. Some are 2 or more years old, but can be given a new lease of life with some seasonal colour and new accessories. It is also time to think about replacing core items that are past their best.

At the Style Event last week I packed part of my Spring capsule to show how versatile it can be when you focus on a few important “rules” (although those that know me know that I like to bend those rules too) Keep your capsule in mind whenever you are out shopping because sometimes you spot one item that slots in perfectly. This happened with the cream Aquazurra flat shoes as my size went into the sale in the Winter so I got a bargain. I also had the emerald turquoise sandals from two years ago so adding in the crop trousers in the same colour and the LK Bennett blouse with splashes of it in the print pulled the pieces together beautifully.

So already in the wardrobe from previous seasons I have:

I have linked the same item or similar where I could find them still available.

Ivory crop trousers – these needed updating so I have added a new pair – see below // Navy/blue print blouse from DVF // Blue tie shoes from DVF (similar) // Red jersey dress from Eileen Fisher // Chocolate silk top and trousers from Eileen Fisher (this season’s trousers) // Red flats from Valentino // Red handbag from Mulberry // Silk print top from Weekend Maxmara // Salmon shoes from Zalando and bag LK Bennett // Salmon silk top from Hobbs // Ivory silk top from Gerard Darel // Cream shoes from Aquazurra // Peach top LK Bennett //Emerald turquoise sandals //

This season I wanted to add navy as a neutral, expand on the red and add a new accent, emerald turquoise (a great universal colour we can all wear). Here’s what I have or will be adding:

And just some of the outfits…

I hope this inspires you to think about what you could add to pieces you already have to update your capsule wardrobe.

If you would like it done for you, why not choose one of the capsule wardrobe services or the new done for you Spring capsule?
