Christmas is just around the corner and with all the gift buying, wrapping and cooking you might not have had a chance to think about what you are going to wear. So, in collaboration with the lovely people at Very Exclusive I have put together all the outfits you need. They are fast becoming my favourite one stop fashion shop because, not only do they stock several of my favourite clothing and beauty brands (LK Bennett, Jigsaw, Whistles and By Terry to name a few) order before 7pm and you can get delivery next day at one of the 5,500 Collect+ stores free of charge. So there is no fighting through the Christmas shopping Hell or waiting in for a delivery. Alternatively if you want home delivery, get it next day for £5.99. Did I mention that they do shoes, bags and accessories too? AND they have just started stocking menswear, so while you are shopping for your Christmas outfits you can buy some gifts as well.
Anyway on to my suggestions for the Festive season…
Christmas Eve for me usually involves people dropping in and out for a glass of Mulled Wine while I prepare for the big day and perhaps a Carol service. Dress requirements are something sparkly but not overdressed and a cosy coat if I am going out. The perfect solution is a pair of velvet jeans, a sparkly knit and a touch of gold on a cosy faux fur coat, boots and bag. For an alternative to black jeans how about a berry pair?

On Christmas Day I am usually the first up, desperate to wake everyone else in the house. I miss the days of being woken at 5am by two excited faces, now it’s me wandering around the house making tea and coughing loudly until they all give in and get up so we can start their present opening. If there is one gift to treat yourself to before Christmas, it’s a pair of silk pyjamas and a cosy pair of slippers. I will be wearing mine until the turkey is in the oven and I have the opportunity to go and get dressed.
For me, Christmas day dressing means something I can put on and forget about while I am cooking, but that still looks festive too. This dress from Jigsaw is ideal, not least because it has no waist restriction! (I love this simple red dress as an alternative) Flat or low heels are essential too, but that doesn’t mean boring and I shall be admiring my feet all day in these strappy Whistles beauties (thank you Very Exclusive for gifting them to me)

For many people Boxing Day means a long walk and tucking in to left overs with perhaps a social event at some point in the day or evening. I’ve chosen warm and comfortable but still stylish pieces for the daytime including the must have over the knee boots, a cashmere knit and a cosy wool biker jacket. Don’t forget a hat to keep your head warm and add a touch of chic. If you need sunglasses after the excesses of Christmas day you will find a great selection here!
For the evening I’ve mixed festive berry and bronze (this little bag is definitely one to add to your Christmas list, it’s beautiful) The culottes also have a matching top that you could alternate with the bronze blouse and being silk, they will work into the warmer months too.

Finally to see out 2016 I’ve chosen dramatic black and silver with a stunning dress from Reiss and a velvet jacket from Marc Jacobs. For those of you who don’t want long or black there are plenty of other party dresses to choose from.
