How to Wear Chocolate Brown – Colour Combinations for You to Try

If, like me, you love chocolate, it’s time to celebrate. Sorry if you thought I was offering you a bar of Green & Black’s because I am talking about the colour Chocolate.

It’s one of my favourite neutrals as it goes so well with autumnal colours like Rust and Mustard but also some slightly less used combinations for example this season’s Riverside Blue. Here are some combinations I love;

During my holiday I visited the Eileen Fisher store in Vancouver and bought a pair of their Slim Ankle Pants in Clove, what I’d call a chocolate brown – I have them already in Navy and absolutely love them. Whilst they aren’t cheap they are incredibly comfortable, wash and wear really well and I wear them both Summer and Winter so they have a low cost per wear. Here are some of the ways and colour combinations I will be wearing them during Autumn and Winter. Hopefully it will inspire you to add some chocolate to your wardrobe.

    Chocolate is my neutral and base, I love it but it is so hard to get here in Australia, hopefully that will change.

    Hi Maria. I love following your ideas. I recrntly had my colours done and am moving towards brown from my faithful black but find it more difficult to get nice pieces. Where would I be able to locate the Eileen Fisher pants in the uk? Also I am 5 ft 8 do you think they would be long enough? I hope you don’t mind me asking and I hope to buy some of the other pieces you suggest if I could track down the pants. Thanks. Margo

      Hi Margo, Thank you for your comment,Of course I don’t mind you asking. There are 3 Eileen Fisher stores in London and it is also stocked in Harvey Nicholls and harrods. Here is a link to other stores/stockists around the country http://www.eileenfisher.com/storelocator/Location/country/

        Margo, I forgot to say also that these pants are on the short side so they would probably show your ankles but they look good with flats and I tuck mine into boots.
