If you are counting down to a holiday as I am, packing may be at the front of your mind. Last year I wrote a series on what to pack for a warm weather holiday which you may find useful along with a recent post on a holiday capsule wardrobe.
Today I’m focusing on some of those essential pieces that might be last minute buys. And I’ve picked 3 of each in various price brackets to show you what’s out there.
First of all the essential swimwear.
If you struggle to find swimwear to accommodate a large bust I highly recommend you look at Bravissimo. They have a really good range of cup sized one pieces, tankinis and bikinis like this one.
For those (like me) who prefer a one piece and need a little help in the tummy area, Marks and Spencer have some fantastic tummy control one pieces. This stripe swimsuit holds in the tummy but also gives the illusion of curves with its clever side panels.
Finally you can’t go wrong with a classic black one piece – always elegant and stylish. From the back this one looks like a bikini but has that all important tummy coverage.
Perfect for moving from the pool or beach to lunch or the bar. Pick one to tone with you swimwear, a classic white to show off the tan or a multi-coloured one that you can wear with several different coloured swimsuits.
Gold flip flops Haviannas, Turquoise sequin flip flops Accesorize, Bead flip flops Aspiga
A pretty pair of flip flops does double duty with swimwear and daytime pieces like shorts or sun dresses or with a maxi dress in the evening.
Neutral wedges go with all of your holiday wardrobe but are just as good for wearing at home too.
A classic basket looks chic on the beach but can also be used for holiday shopping. Or opt for a nautical stripe with a practical detachable purse.
What holiday suitcase would be complete without a maxi dress? In a tropical or bright print, glamorous black (perfect with tanned shoulders) or a classic stripe.
Have you included these must haves in your holiday wardrobe? Do you have others I’ve not mentioned?
