With Christmas just over two weeks away there is still enough time to find an outfit to suit how you will be spending the day. I always like to dress up for Christmas lunch which for me includes my family and a few good friends. As I am cooking I need something that I won’t get too hot in and is comfortable. Over the years I have bought numerous sparkly tops and jumpers which I tend to pair with trousers but this year I have decided I want to wear a dress and have found a sale bargain in my favourite colour of the season – berry.
Here are a few suggestions if you are still looking for your own outfit:
I know not everyone wants to dress up on Christmas Day so If you relish it as a day when you can just relax and stay cosy and warm without having to make the effort of dressing up then this outfit from Hush would be perfect. A nod to the festive season with a red oversize jumper, comfortable leggings and T-shirt and warm Snood, socks and Boots.
If you want to wear a dress pick something that can be dressed up for the day but would work in your wardrobe for work or any smart occasion. The combination of a red dress, stunning necklace and bronze shoes says Christmas.
Finally if you are going to a formal event this is the one time you can indulge yourself in a full length red dress, below are a choice of three with either careful tummy draping or fabrics designed to hold you in so you can enjoy the food. The fourth dress is one we used in a Christmas capsule. To me Christmas is the time for velvet and in this deep berry dress in sumptuous velvet is simply stunning – I just wish I had the occasion to wear it!
