This summer there are multiple trouser trends and something for all body shapes, from palazzo to peg and capri to harem. My favourite look for trousers on the summer catwalks was from Diane Von Furstenburg who showed fluid slim trousers under long tunic tops.
If that’s not for you here are some of the other trouser trend options:
The crop or capri style, wide leg palazzos, harem or tapered and print.
There are plenty of options available on the high street with many of them now in the sales. So if you are looking to fill that trouser size gap in your wardrobe here are a few options for you.
Firstly crop trousers in summer brights and white. If you have short legs I’d avoid this trouser as a line that cuts across the leg will make it look shorter.
Some tapered options – just beware if you are pear shaped as this style will emphasise the hips.
Finally the print trend. If you’d like to try a print but are nervous of anything too bold the muted print shown below right would break you in gently. You will also find lots of prints incorporating blue and white – another of the big summer trends.
