I’m really excited to announce that we will be working with the lovely people at Knomo Bags, and including them in our Capsule Wardrobes presentation at our January event (and if you are attending there may just be a special offer). I first came across Knomo a few years ago and immediately fell in love with their stylish laptop bags. The range also includes luggage, ipad, phone cases and a range for men. I just wish they had been around in my days as a traveling consultant flying all over Europe.
Knomo kindly sent me a selection of bags to “try out” and when the 3 large boxes were delivered it felt like Christmas had come early! The largest box contained the Marseille Suitcase made from lightweight quilting, saving baggage allowance for all your holiday essentials, while the padding helps protect the items within. There is an expandable zipped section through the middle to increase the cases’ overall size and give added space for all those goodies we buy whilst on holiday. This bag would easily fit everything you need for a two week holiday – or longer of you follow our Capsule Wardrobe concept. As with all Knomo bags it’s been carefully thought out with multiple additional pockets for storage, there’s even a detachable wet pouch for toiletries, with a plastic bottle included. And how about that gorgeous pink lining? If you have ever been the last person standing at the luggage carousel with a sinking heart (I’ve been there twice) you will also be delighted to know that all the Knomo bags have a unique “if lost” code inside so that you can be reunited.
The bag I would have loved on my business travels is the Serra Trolley, which is a carry on board bag. Small enough to be acceptable inside the cabin but large enough to carry a 15″ laptop within a quilted shockproof protection pouch, and several outfits. It also comes with multiple pockets, unique ID code, telescopic handle and a slip pocket at the back to place over the handle of a larger case like the Marseille. I packed into it the following:
2 x tops, 1 x dress, 1 x cardigan, 1 x skirt, 2 x camis, 1 pair of shoes, 1 clutch bag, 3 x necklaces. giving me at least 6 outfits (including what I would be wearing) and there was still room to spare for toiletries and possibly another pair of shoes.
You can see the pieces rolled and ready to pack below and in the case.
The perfect companion to the Serra if you are an Ipad girl is the Silvi cross body bag shown above right.
If you would prefer a tote bag the Alice oversized leather weekender is perfect. The one Knomo sent me to try was in a gorgeous pink called teaberry. Again it fits a 15″ laptop in it’s shockproof pouch and I filled it with the same clothing detailed above. This would also be the perfect work to gym bag for the stylish business woman.
I really love these bags – for the attention to detail, the feminine colour options and their practicality. The only problem is choosing. They would make fantastic Christmas presents for the busy female executive, so make sure you send Santa over to this page!
OK I know I’ve picked two handbags but I couldn’t choose and they are different colours, where’s the rule that says you can only have one? And you could always buy him one from the men’s collection.
