For those of you who don’t know me too well I should explain that I have two beauty weaknesses one is Chanel nail varnishes and the other is Bobbi Brown – all of it! So my excitement is high when the Bobbi Brown Christmas collections come in to store. You may be thinking it’s too early to start buying for Christmas – for yourself or for gifts – but I should warn you that these sets tend to sell fast so I recommend that if one takes your fancy you get in quick. Here’s a roundup of my favourites from the new range – and there are several!
First up the new palettes
I bought one very similar to the black pearl last year and absolutely love it – it would be perfect this season with purple being a big trend. The Uber Nude palette just oozes sophistication and is just right for a polished daytime look and popping in your handbag for touch ups during the day. The Bellini palette would be perfect for someone with light or warm colouring or anyone who wants a subtle wash of colour they are so pretty and feminine. I’ve left till last the one for me – the Rich Caviar those bronzey greens are simply stunning and the top row would be a subtle daytime look and the bottom row all out smokey eye glamour.
Next up some new lip and eye sets.
Party makeup in a little shimmery tube – the Pearl eye trio shadows boast 95% pure pearl pigments and rich sparkle to create a subtle wash of shimmer or a burst of ultra-intense colour depending on how they are applied and they will last the night as the are crease proof and flake free. With one glitter, one shimmer and one hint of colour lip gloss this Tube tint trio covers all eventualities, use them on their own or over the top of one of your lipsticks. Not a new product but one of my all time favourites, I love the long wear cream eyeshadows. I use one of the cream ones everyday as a base for any other eyeshadow and the metallic ones are perfect for the evening and the pots are so nice they make gorgeous little gifts too.
Finally Shimmer Bricks – again not a new product but they are wonderful for parties. You can use the individual strips of colour as eye shadows or swirl your powder brush over the brick to highlight your face. They are all gorgeous but the Bronze would be good for evenings or darker colouring, Rose for those with a cool skin tone, Nectar for warm skin tone and the Beige and Pink Quartz for fair skin. And for Christmas there is a new 24 Karat one of pearlescent gold.
Are you a Bobbi Brown fan – which would you like to find under the tree?
