In February 1947 whilst showing his first Couture collection, Christian Dior unveiled what was to become one of his all-time favourite motifs – the Jungle panther print – of which his muse, Mitzah Bricard, became an ardent ambassador. Daring, animal, sensual, dangerous. The most avant-garde women adopted it straight away.
Re-invented over the years, the Jungle print has remained an undisputed star of the Dior catwalks. A star that has inspired Dior’s 2012 autumn make-up collection designed by Tyen: it’s chic and fabulously feline.
I love, love, love this makeup collection! The stunning golds, khakis, browns and taupes. The collection is available now at House of Fraser.
With a brand-new manicure combining a gold base and a khaki topcoat. Layered together, they become one to create an incredible crocodile effect on the nails.
The collection includes two stunning palettes containing 3 assorted matte, pearly, iridescent pressed eyeshadows in a panther motif and a gloss for the lips. The colourways are Golden Khakis and Golden Browns.
The Glowing colour powder blush comes in a palette of two shades. One matte to enhance the natural skin tone and one with a pearly finish to highlight.
And finally what looks like a great natural lip colour for the autumn which I will definitely be trying, Rouge Dior in Sahara Brown
Will you be purrr-fecting this look for the autumn?
